World Antimicrobial Awareness Week* (WAAW) has today 18th November 2021 held a stakeholders meeting at the Atlantic Lumley Hotel on the theme “Spread Awareness, Stop Resistance”

From the 18th – 24th November is World Antimicrobial Awareness Week which is celebrated every year to raise awareness.
Key issues ranging from the definition of the key term “Antimicrobial Resistance” to creating awareness in the general public were discussed through an interactive session between the speakers and the participants.

Journalist / Media Practitioners
Civil Society Organizations (CSOs)
Principals / Academic Institutions (JSS & SSS)
Youth Groups
The purpose of the meeting is to increase knowledge and understanding of AMR among participants present, and discussed their roles and capacities in combating AMR, also, to identify contribution to the Global Development and Stewardship Framework on AMR, Global Action Plan and alignment with National Strategic Plan.
