Initiating the “Public Health Emergency Operation Center Handbook”!
This comprehensive handbook, when finalized, will serve as a game-changer in enhancing emergency response capabilities in Sierra Leone. It provides detailed guidelines, protocols, and best practices for setting up emergency operation centers during public health crises.
The handbook covers a wide range of critical topics, including incident management, coordination, communication strategies, data collection and analysis, resource mobilization, and more. It serves as a vital tool for health officials, emergency responders, and other stakeholders involved in disaster preparedness and response. And also cover elements of the PHEOC Legal Framework that establish and/or strengthen legal authorities for Public Health Emergency Management (PHEM) and Public Health Emergency Operations Centers (PHEOC).
