The handbook covers a wide range of critical topics, including incident management, coordination, communication strategies, data collection and analysis, resource mobilization, and more. It serves as a vital tool for health officials, emergency responders, and other stakeholders involved in disaster preparedness and response. And also cover elements of the PHEOC Legal Framework that establish and/or strengthen legal authorities for Public Health Emergency Management (PHEM) and Public Health Emergency Operations Centers (PHEOC). “By developing this handbook, the Directorate of Health Security and Emergencies is taking proactive measures to strengthen Sierra Leone’s capacity to effectively manage public health emergencies.
