On the 7th March, 2020, the Ministry of Health and Sanitation through the National Medical Supply Agency, has handed over Seven (7) Trucks load of Free Health Care Medical Comodities to the Kenema DHMT.
 
The handing over event took place at the Kenema District Council Hall in the presence of District stakeholders.
 
In attendance were the DMO, Kenema Donald Grant, the Hon. Resident Minister Eastern Region, Mr. Andrew A. Fatorma,
the Chairman Parliamentary Committee for Health, Hon. Moses B. Jorkie and
the Hunan Resources Director for NMSA.
 
Other key stakeholders including the Media and Civil Society Organization (HFAC) were also in attendance.
 
Out of the 7 trucks, 2 Trucks was meant for the Kenema Government Hospital, 1 truck for the Paguma Government Hospital and 4 Trucks for Kenema DHMT Peripheral Health Care Facilities.
 
The distribution to various Health Facilities was expected to commence immediately after stocktaking and verification.
 
The NMSA Representative assured the stakeholders that the quarterly supplies of the Free Health Care Supplies will be done as planned so as to avoid stock out of essential commodities.
 
The official handing over process was done by the Hon. Resident Minister East to the DMO of Kenema.
