In a bid to reduce Dog bites and Rabies, the One Health Communication Team (OHCT) Saturday 22nd February, 2020 held a road show campaign in Freetown.
The campaign comprises of two teams each with a representative from MoHS, MAF & EPA
One team to the East and the other to the West.
For team East, the team move along three(3) communities namely Up-gun (Kissy Road), Shell and Texaco with a mounted PA system in which we engage groups and individuals on key messages on dog bites and rabies. The key messages were;
*What is rabies?
*How is rabies spread?
*How to stop dog bites?
*And if bitten by a dog, what to do?
The final engagement started at 7:00 PM in Porty  and Godriech Funkia Wharf community in which presentation was done on Rabies and Dog Bites video clips were displayed and a quiz competition section in which people won attractive prizes.
