MoHS signs MOU with the ACC.
Corruption in the health care service delivery can be fatal and poses multidimensional effect on the lives of Sierra Leoneans so in preventing this, the Ministry of Health and Sanitation has on Thursday 2nd September 2021 signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Anti-Corruption Commission at MoHS Conference Room.
The document centers around three fundamental aspects; the prevention and elimination of FRAUD, WASTE & ABUSE.
This symbolic partnership with the ACC will help strengthen information sharing, support and assistance in building integrity and visibility.
The Anti-Corruption Commissioner, Ben Keifala stated that enormous resources remain allotted to health care service delivery and it is of utmost importance that these resources are rightfully utilized to serve the people of Sierra Leone.
The Minister of Health & Sanitation, Dr. Austin Demby relayed that his administration will deliberately gear towards preventing any form of malfeasance in the health sector and assured the ACC of transparency, accountability and continued partnership in ensuring that every individual has equitable access to quality and affordable health care in the country.
