The Ministry of Health and Sanitation in collaboration with Its partners has today Friday 7th February, 2020 reviewed the December Lassa Fever Response in Tonkolili in Magburaka Town.
The main purpose of the review was to discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the Emergency Lassa Fever Response in Tonkolili District in December, 2019.
Key Pillars like Risk Communication/Social Mobilization, Case Management, Surveillance, Infection, Prevention Pillars did a presentation on What went well and What did not went well.
The review drew participants from MSF, Care/RODA, Focus 100, Health for All Coalition, Concern, WHO, U.S CDC, Council, Kenema Lassa Fever Team, Masanga Hospital, key residents from the Lassa Fever affected communities in Tonkolili District and the National Health Education Office and the Directorate of Health Security and Emergencies were represented.
