Orientation meeting on prevention of Dog bite and rabies

In the light to accompanist the aims and objectives of the One Health platform.
The Ministry of Health and Sanitation, Environmental Protection Agency and the Ministry of Agriculture in Collaboration with the Republic of Sierra leone Arm forces on the  6th of march 2020 organize an orientation meeting on prevention of Dog bite and rabies at the Arm Forces Technical Education College at Wilberforce, Freetown. Military personnels were drawned from the 16 Districts in Sierra Leone.
The Chairman for the program Mr Mukeh Fahnbulleh in his opening statement said that Rabies is a serious disease which can be transmitted by the saliva of a dog and if not treated can lead to death.
That why the One Health platform though it fit to orientate the Military Personnels because they will serve as key players in stopping dog bites and rabies.
Statements were made from the Environmental Protection Agency, Republic of Sierra Leone arm forces and Breakthrough Action.
